Question Time (with my 3 year old again!) (Day 16)

So, it's been just over two weeks of writing this blog during the 30 day challenge and the most read post was the one where I asked my Daughter a series of random questions. This sparked an idea from my Brother who suggested we do question time with her once a week. I agreed that this would be fun and this whole process needs to be me giving my readers what you want, so hopefully you'll enjoy a bit more of this child like humour! Naturally I nominated my Brother to supply me with some new questions and today I received them, so whilst dinner is cooking I've just put her in the hot seat (well on the spare bed) and we've got some cracking answers again!

Me: What is your favourite animal and why?
My Daughter: Elephant, because it's my favourite.
But why?
Because I do like elephants
But why?
Because I like elephants the best
But why do you like elephants the best?
Because they're so funny and they can roll over! (naturally?)

If you could be Elsa for a day, what would you do and where would you go?
I would look in the mirror and I would go to Sri Lanka. (Ha, ha look in the mirror, there's natural vanity for you!!)

What shape is planet Earth?
A circle (She's got a globe in her room that we're always studying ;-))

What is your favourite thing to do at forest school?
I like playing in the mud kitchen. (which reminds me I'm supposed to be building her one in the garden when I get chance!)

What do you like most about your new(ish) home?
I like it so much and I like my old house too. I like both of the houses. I really like my old house the best. (awkward!)
Why?
Because it rolls over? (Really? Too much Faraway Tree perhaps?)

If you could be a unicorn or a fairy for a day, which would you be and why?
A unicorn.
Do you actually know what a unicorn is?
Yes, it's got a horn here (pointing to her head) and it's got a body like this (get's on her hands and knees), you know a bit like a horse.
So why would you be a unicorn?
I don't know, because we like being unicorns and unicorns roll over. Like, erm... let me show you (demonstrates rolling over).

Can you name all of the colours in the rainbow?
The rainbow is so fun and we lick all the colours off it and that's so fun because I like it. (Have I just entered some kind of parallel universe?)
So what colours are in a rainbow?
Orange, violet and pink and purple and green.
Anymore? Don't you know that song?
Yes. (she breaks into song) The rainbow is so fun and we lick all colours.

Where is your favourite place to go at the weekends?
Erm, Sri Lanka the best. (Just to confirm we don't often pop to Sri Lanka at the weekends!!)
Well you haven't actually been to Sri Lanka yet so out of the places you've been at the weekends where is your favourite?
Oh to the park the best. (That's more like it!)

What do Hippos do?
They swim in water like, let me show you... they swim like this (jumps to the floor and pretends to do the breaststroke whilst laying on her tummy). (impressive amateur dramatics!)

What is your favourite thing for breakfast?
Erm syrup.
What?
Syrup
You don't have syrup for breakfast.
I definitely do. Look Mummy, look at me (whilst balancing on the corner of the end of the bed in the spare room!).

Ok that's it, well done.
No there's one more question (holds up one finger towards me and repeats 'one more'). So, where would you like to go most? (Oh right, it's question time for Mummy again is it?)
Sri Lanka
Good and where would you like to go with me? To the park? Do you like going to the park with me?
Yes, definitely.
Good, that's fine.

The end.

If anyone would like to send me some question for next week then we can keep question time going regularly. I'll await to hear from you...
