Now get this for dedication to the 30 day blogging challenge... it's a very rare 'date night' tonight whilst our Daughter camps out at my Mum and Step Dads and we're on our way home from Norwich and I'm typing this in the notes app on my phone! I will not fail!! Here it is, another last minute theme...
So today's the day for me, you know day one, the day usually referred to as tomorrow. What are you on about Kaori, I hear you murmur... Sorry I know I'm talking in code, it's what happens when you're high on antihistamines with the excitement of a fun weekend ahead! So you know when there's something you've been meaning to do, like start a diet or go on a detox and it's always going to start 'tomorrow' well that's what I'm talking about. My thing is ramping up my fitness training again, as with everything that's filling my time lately I've become a bit lapse. I've been working out how best to fit in a regime of some kind because with my business, everything we've got going on with our house refurbishment (not sure I've mentioned that yet?) and having a Daughter I desperately want to spend time with, the evening classes have taken a hit because I'm literally often not finishing up work and of course this blog until around 10pm these days. At 10pm after a busy day you might imagine I'm not really energised for exercising! Therefore my only option is to get my bum up early and workout before my husband leaves for work at 6:45am. I've looked at the local-ish gyms but they don't open until 6:30 or 7am so not an option and the 24 hour gyms are right in the city, so by the time I've got there, parked, had a workout and then driven home I'd probably have to get out of bed at 4:30am! Erm, I don't think so! i may have gone through a spell of getting up at 5:30 at the start of this year but 4:30 is literally the middle of the night!! So my plan, until September at least when I'll have more time with the little one going to Primary school and I will rejoin my local evening classes, is to either go for a run or workout at home.
In true Kaori form I've written myself a training schedule and plan to do something every week day morning, alternating between 15 minute HIIT workouts and then either a longer upper, lower or core / abs workout followed by a HIIT session or a run (pollen count dependent!) I've had some tips from friends who are very dedicated fitness fans so I'm raring to go! I did my first one this morning and loved it, I felt so energised, although it did hurt during the session but it's supposed to, otherwise what's the point?
I am telling you all about this so that you can hassle me about my progress and I'm even going to do that thing that I swore I'd never do and take photos every week or so to establish if I'm getting anywhere. I figure if I post the initial more embarrassing photos then I really have to prove myself and show you that I'm getting closer to six pack i'm dreaming of! Oh flipping' heck what am I doing here!! I must be crazy! Ok so, here goes... (and yes if I could have made the photo even smaller I would have done!)
So there's my training pledge, anyone want to join me and start doing something today that you've been putting off for a while?
